Game of Thrones Home Decor Inspiration

Which house do you hail from? Whether you're rooting for the (remaining) Starks, secretly loving the Lannisters or want to see Westeros ruled once again by a Targaryen, why not bring that house pride right into your own home? Well, thanks to the powers of the Internet, now you can!

Wayfair.com asked me to share this wonderful article they did on Game of Thrones inspired rooms and I think this is the perfect opportunity to expand on that article with Season 5 coming up!

This also actually came at the perfect time to share because I've been hankering to do some redecorating but know all too well that doing that can get pretty pricey. I really don't have a theme currently but I would love to do a House Martell, Moroccan style living space someday. That's probably my favorite type of decor even outside of the Game of Thrones inspiration.

While most of us just go to Ikea or some big box retailer to get our home goodies (I'm very guilty of this), Wayfair offers discounts on all sorts of furniture and decor as well as a rewards system. I haven't personally shopped there yet but do keep hearing about them and after doing some online window shopping (I'm on the hunt for a bamboo bathroom accessory set), the prices are pretty darn reasonable.

I'd also like to point out they have an entire area of their website dedicated to just cat trees.

Now here are two more I'd like to add for some Game of Thrones home decor inspiration!
Vale Decor Inspiration

While Sansa isn't from the Vale, she is now one our Point of View characters hiding there along with Littlefinger. The Vale is full of bird imagery because of the House Arryn sigil being the hawk. Taking that into consideration, using feathers, birdcages, and plush but muted accents make up the perfect, moody room inspiration that is inspired by House Arryn's realm.

Wildling Decor

If you want a bit of the North Beyond The Wall type of style in your home, rustic and cabin esque decor is the way to go. It's similar to the Stark room inspiration by incorporating faux fur throw blankets, wood crafted furniture and woodland accent pieces. I'd also throw in other nomadic pieces like the jars that have a "tribal" look to them.

Which Wayfair room inspiration board is your favorite? You already know mine. ;) Also, I am super mega ultra PUMPED for the new season! The television series is treading on new ground even for book readers and I'm really eager to see what's going to happen next.

    1. Yaaaay! I always thought the first book kinda dragged but then once you're book two and forward, things just snowball. Rustic has been growing on me, my mom has been redecorating her house to look essentially like a Wildling/Stark house haha.

  5. These are all so beautiful! I think the Stark and Wildling rooms are my favorites, but I'm also Scandinavian, and we tend to decorate with lots of wood and other natural materials, so it all looks very homey to me :)
