Of course, most of the podcasts I listen to are geeky or nerdy in some way and so I decided to share my current list with you guys!
1. The Nerdist
Hosted by nerd king Chris Hardwick, he talks with big time celebrities in the pop culture community such as William Shatner, Will Arnett, Jessica Chobot, and many, many others (he's at episode 600+ or something crazy like that). A favorite of mine was with the dean from Community, actor Jim Raisch. So funny!
2. Welcome To Night Vale
This is slightly different than your average podcast and takes a cue from old radio shows...Except much weirder. That's all I'm going to say about this one. Also, you can even access Night Vale episodes on Soundcloud, so if you like weird, you need to listen this.
3. Talk Nerdy With Cara Santa Maria
When you need your nerdy fix while on the go, this is a great podcast for that! This podcast is about promoting science to all ages and making it easy to understand as well. A lot of podcasts try to sound super smart (and elitist, in my opinion) and then make science talk inaccessible to people like me who don't know all the terminology. Cara makes science fun, like a modern Bill Nye!
4. The Lede
If you're an avid writer, freelancer, or a blogger then The Lede podcast by Copyblogger is a must. I've learned so much about blogging and digital marketing from Copyblogger and the podcast almost rivals the actual website in terms of knowledge and insight. It's also a great inspiration boost during those weeks when you're running out of ideas and time.
5. Not Too Deep By Grace Helbig
This is a super new podcast that is hilarious! Grace, of Internet/YouTube fame, interviews other famous netizens without all the "fluff" that other interviews tend to add to seem like a Inside The Actor's Studio knock-off. This is candid, off the cuff, and oh so funny.
6. Stuff You Should Know
Ever curious how things work or learning random trivia you can break out at that next party? Stuff You Should Know is put together by eHow and always answers those weird questions that might keep you up at night and you're just too lazy to Google it.
7. Talkin' Toons With Rob Paulsen
If you know me, then you know I absolutely love cartoons. Paulsen voiced Yakko from the rad Animaniacs show as well as countless other voices throughout the years. When you're really into animation, cartoons, and the people behind the characters, then this podcast is an absolute listen!
And there you have it, seven podcasts for every day of the week! What are some of your favorite podcasts to listen to? Share them in the comments! :)
